The W·H·Y Trap has two chambers and three attractants to catch 19 different species of insects. The top chamber is baited with two attractants -- one of which is a solid contained in a vial, and the other a liquid mixed with water. The bottom chamber is baited with a liquid attractant poured onto a cotton pad. Wasps, hornets and yellowjackets have two ways to enter: either through the top cap, or through the holes in the bottom cap. These refills are suitable for the Rescue! Reusable W.H.Y Trap for Wasps, Hornets and Yellowjackets.

How It Works:
The Rescue! W.H.Y Trap Refill uses a chemical attractant to lure insects into the trap, where they are unable to escape. This solution is free from toxic killing agents and poisons, making it safer for use around homes, gardens, patios, and outdoor gathering areas. Over time, the trapped insects expire naturally within the chamber.

Placement Tips:

  • Install traps at least 20 feet away from patios, decks, or areas where people gather.

  • Place traps near bushes, trees, or other natural areas to effectively attract hornets and yellowjackets.

  • For optimal control, position multiple traps around your yard or the perimeter of your property.

  • Avoid placing traps directly next to active nests; maintain a 20-foot distance from known yellowjacket nests.

The attractant contains heptyl butyrate and butanol, which can be strong eye irritants and mild skin irritants. In case of contact, wash thoroughly with clean water. If irritation persists, consult a physician.
